Ms. Fort has 23 years of experience as a lawyer in California. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for 13 years on complex mediations and arbitrations with JAMS neutrals. In this capacity, Ms. Fort co-mediated cases, and drafted countless arbitration awards. Representative matters while working with JAMS neutrals include: complex trust litigation, securities litigation, commercial disputes involving multiple insurers, class actions and employment disputes. Since joining the Damrell firm, Ms. Fort has focused on Probate and Estate Planning, including drafting wills and trusts for individuals anxious to get these documents in place. Her current practice also includes Probate and Trust Administration, mediation and arbitration. Ms. Fort also serves as a Hearing Officer for Sacramento and other counties. In this capacity, she conducts certification review hearings under Welfare and Institutions Code section 5250 and 5270, as well as nuisance hearings, including license appeals under local and state marijuana laws.
